Safesport & Background Screen
USA Hockey, Safesport and Background Screen Instructions
We ask that each family have at least one parent/guardian that is Safesport certified.
1)Follow the link below to register for a FREE volunteer USA Hockey Number https://membership.usahockey.com/
2) Follow this link to complete Safesport Training: https://www.usahockey.com/safesportprogram Click on "Safesport Training" you will be prompted to log in with your USA Hockey Number. Training takes approximately 90 min. Certificate is valid for one year
3) Complete the background screening: https://www.usahockey.com/backgroundscreen
Cost approximately $35 but may be more and can take up to 2 weeks to clear. This needs to be completed every other year.
4) Once your background screening clears, please email a copy of your Safesport certificate, and cleared background screening to
